Certificate Program

In today's fast-paced world, individuals frequently find themselves in new positions that require additional or updated education. Whether you already have an MBA and want to broaden your background in a specific field, are interested in just taking courses in a focused area, or are interested in a starting point for an MBA, the Graduate Certificate program offered by the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs may be the perfect solution for you.

Graduate certificate courses are taught by full-time, doctoral qualified faculty of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

The Program

Each graduate certificate consists of a minimum of 12 hours of graduate course work in a specific field of study, in addition to any required prerequisites. Students may take the prerequisites at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. All course work required for a Certificate should be completed within three calendar years after the first semester a student enrolls in classes.

  • The three calendar year time frame begins with a student's first 600 level course.

  • The only exclusion is ACCT 4XX required for the Accounting Certificate.

Certificate students may use the completed course work towards an MBA degree. All course work for the MBA must be completed within five calendar years after the first semester a student enrolls in classes.

Selective graduate-level certificates can be obtained in two ways:

  • On Campus program
  • Distance program online
