Application Deadlines

Following the checklist below will ensure a rapid application process.

The application process should begin 2-4 months prior to the deadlines listed to the right. This allows sufficient time for transcripts to arrive and the GMAT or GRE to be taken.

Special Note to current/former UCCS students: The Graduate School of Business Administration no longer accepts Guaranteed Early Admit or Fast-Track applications. All new applicants must follow the application steps, as outlined below.

On Campus MBA - Domestic Applicant Checklist

  1. Online Application
    • MBA Pre-Application Questionnaire
    • Application for Graduate Admission
      • Personal Information
      • Admission Information
      • College Information
      • In-State Tuition Eligibility
      • Selective Service Certification
      • Include all necessary signatures
  2. $60 non-refundable application fee: send check made out to UCCS to address listed below
  3. Official scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) OR official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
    • GMAT Information
      • GMAT no longer uses school codes. UCCS will be listed as an option under Part-time MBA Programs.
      • The average admitted applicant total test score is 540-560.
    • GRE Information
      • The UCCS school code for the GRE is 4874
      • The Business Department code for the GRE is 4201
      • The average admitted applicant total test score is 1120 (verbal + quantitative).
      • Applicants need to take the general test ONLY
    • GMAT Waiver Petition - An applicant who has already earned an advanced degree (e.g. master's or higher) may petition for a waiver of the GMAT requirement. The GMAT Waiver Petition must be completed and submitted with the application materials. Waivers are not automatic and must be approved by the MBA Admissions Committee.
  4. Two (2) official transcripts from ALL institutions of higher learning ever attended, regardless of the number of credit hours taken or degrees earned. Download, fill in and mail this form to the colleges you've attended. Must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  5. Current Resume
  6. Statement of Interest: A formal statement indicating why the applicant is interested in pursuing an MBA (i.e., career enhancement, improve knowledge in a certain area, etc.). There are no length requirements.
  7. Optional:
    • Letters of Recommendation
  8. Non - U.S. citizens must submit the one or more of the following documents with their application:
    • Copy of Visa
    • Copy of Alien Registration Card
    • Copy of I-94
  9. All applicant information should be sent to:
