The MBA Program

Our Students' Primary Goal in obtaining an MBA

52% to become better qualified for future employment

27% to become better qualified for advancement in current field

11% to change occupation

10% for self-development or preparation for further graduate education

An MBA will increase and add value to your individual skills, knowledge, experience, and personal qualities – all qualities employers seek. An MBA will teach business skills and management techniques that will empower you to make effective business and leaderships decisions.  The MBA program curriculum is designed for students of all undergraduate academic backgrounds.

An MBA at UCCS offers a broad business foundation, and then allows students to concentrate on specialized areas of emphasis, or select courses to design a curriculum that fits your personal and professional goals.

The twelve course, 36-credit hour MBA program consists of seven core courses and five elective courses. The core courses make up the heart of the MBA program and cover competency areas that are integral to today's business world. MBA electives enhance students' background by allowing them to develop expertise in a specialized area plus breadth for cross-functionality. Students may complete 9-15 hours in an Area of Emphasis and up to 6 hours of additional MBA electives.
