DMBA Announcements

Degree Progress:
Degree Progress has been moved out of the Student Online Center and can now be found on the UCCS Portal.  You will find the portal at myuccs.cu.edu. Once in the portal, click on the “MY.ACADEMIC TOOLS” link.

Nothing is ever as easy and straight forward as planned and the new system is no exception.  The new systems does not work perfectly for students in the DMBA program who have ever - at any time -  taken a class at CU Boulder, CU Denver or on-campus at UCCS.  You should be able to ask for the default audit and have your area of emphasis reflected in the audit.  The default audit  works for on-campus students taking DMBA classes and for those students who have only taken DMBA classes.  For all others, the default audit shows the status the last time classes were taken at CU Boulder, CU Denver or on-campus at UCCS or in some cases comes up with an empty audit.  If you are one of the students who has taken classes within the CU System, other than just DMBA classes, you will need to select "Run Selected Program".  To accurately view your audit, you need to indicated the calendar year you started your MBA - this is critical.  Selecting the wrong calendar year may result in classes not being properly reflected on your audit: required classes not showing,  or new classes showing up that you are not expecting to see.  The MBA program has changed over time and the calendar year reflects the curriculum in place when you started MBA.  As a help, the DARS Coordinator has created the attached screen shot with instructions.

Internships / Career Opportunities

Through the College of Business Career & Placement Center, internship and job opportunities are available for business students. As a College of Business Distance MBA student, you may participate in an internship to gain experience and training working for a business or other organization.

Internships provide you with significant work experience to enhance your study. Students may enroll in an internship for 1-3 credit hours which will serve as an independent study course. Internships must be arranged by the student in their local market. For more information, please contact Lisanne McNew at 719-255-3120.
