Curriculum - Distance MBA
To earn your MBA at UCCS, you will take a total of 36-51 credit hours of courses, depending on your academic background. These courses may be taken on campus or online. We've divided these hours into three categories:
Foundation Courses: 12 hours (4 classes)
The Foundation (preparatory) Courses are an integral component to the MBA Degree curriculum. The concepts in these courses are fundamental to your education.
Core Courses: 21 hours (7 classes)
Core Courses make up the heart of the MBA Program and cover areas that are directly applicable in today's business world.
Area of Emphasis + Elective Courses: 15 hours (5 classes)
You can develop expertise in a chosen specialization. Maximum flexibility is offered with a choice of seven possible emphases offered online. The MBA Electives enhance your background by allowing you to develop extra breadth for greater cross-functionality or additional depth in your selected Area of Emphasis.
