Distance MBA Withdrawal Procedure and Tuition Refund Policy

The deadline to drop a class with 100% refund of tuition and fees is 11:59  PM Mountain Time on day 14 of the fall and spring semester (end of week two) and day 9 of the summer semester.  Use the web registration system while registration is still open. After this date, you must complete the DMBA Withdrawal Form and either fax the form to 719-255-3100 or scan it and send it to ksangerm@uccs.edu as an attachment. Refer to the Distance MBA Academic Calendar for specific dates.

DO NOT USE THE CAMPUS PROGRAM ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR WITHDRAWAL DATES, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

Withdrawal Procedure

  • If you are withdrawing during open registration, you must use the web registration system to withdraw from a class.
  • After registration closes, you will need to complete the DMBA Withdrawal Form.
  • You must have your instructor's permission, and in certain cases the Dean's permission, to withdraw from a course after day 14 of the fall and spring semesters and day 9 of the summer semester; if you do not, you may receive an F for the course (refer to the Academic Calendar for exact dates/semester).
  • If you receive Financial Aid, you must notify the Financial Aid office if you drop a class after day 14 of the fall and spring semester and day 9 of the summer semester.  Failure to do so could affect your Financial Aid eligibility.  For permission contact the Financial Aid office at 719-255-3460 or by email.
  • Fax a signed Withdrawal Form to 719-255-3100
  • Incorrect withdrawal will affect your permanent record.

Tuition Refund Policy (refer to DMBA Academic Calendar for exact dates)

  • Dropping a class prior to 11:59 pm Mountain Time on day 14 of the fall and spring semester (end of week two) and day 9 of the summer semester will results in a 100% refund of tuition and fees.
  • There is a 0% refund for all withdrawals after the 14th day of the fall and spring semester (end of week two) and day 9 of the summer semester.
  • After online registration closes, refunds are based on the faxed date of your request for withdrawal.
