Students are also eligible for a wide range of other types of financial aid and assistance that are available through the University Financial Aid Office.  Out-of-state students who exceed specified entrance examination scores or (grade point averages for transfer students) qualify for $2,000 per year.  Additional information is available from the Financial Aid office (visit www.uccs.edu).

All incoming students who wish to be considered for financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and specify that it be sent to UCCS.  This requirement applies even if the student is not seeking federal assistance.

Out-of-state students may be eligible for annual scholarships that reduce their tuition and/or housing costs.

Residents of most western states may be eligible for a special tuition status at UCCS at a level equal to 150% of the in-state charge. The following states participate in this "Western Undergraduate Exchange Program": Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Sport Management applicants from these states who wish to be considered for WUE status must include a statement to the effect when submitting their university application.

The State of Colorado does not grant in-state status to students who remain wholly or partially dependent on their parents while enrolled with the University. Additional information on this policy and the process for gaining resident status can be obtained by inquiry of the UCCS Admissions and Records Office.
